Hammer Time

Every year in February, a small Mexican town by the name of San Juan de la Vega hosts a festival dedicated to St. John the Baptist. But what makes this festival different from all others is the fact that revelers would attach heavy-duty firecrackers to the end of sledgehammers and slam them against a metal slab. The end result are explosive detonations that could knock the revelers to the ground. For one heck of a way to celebrate, the Festival of Exploding Hammers is this week’s Rewarranty story of the week.
