In the past few years, several large walls have gone up at the U.S.-Mexico border. But no matter what side of the debate you are on, everyone generally agree that these artificial monolithic steel against the natural backdrop create quite the juxtaposition. But, in 2019, near the border between El Paso, Texas and Ciudad Juarez, a set of see-saws were built using the steel frames as foundation. It was a project demonstrating how even the largest physical divides can be transcended through our imagination. For bridging the space among individuals and winning the prestigious London's Design Museum award for best design of 2020, Project Teeter-Totter Wall is this week’s Rewarranty Story of the Week.
