We often take our five senses (touch, smell, sight, taste, and sound) for granted. We go through our days using all five without batting an eye. But, for some who are born without one of these senses, experiencing it for the first time can be a moment of euphoria. For the two-year-old Mavis, hearing her mommy’s voice for the very first time was a life-changing moment.
